Senior Brand Manager - DOG - Maternity Cover (12 month contract)

Your role at Lily’s Kitchen: -

Our revenue is over £20 million and growing rapidly, the majority of this is for our dog portfolio. As a maternity cover for our Senior Brand Manager, you will be play an integral part of the Marketing team.

You will be responsible for delivering the dog marketing campaigns and dog NPD launches during the maternity cover period.

Our approach to marketing is to be audacious and unexpected. They say never work with animals or children, but we love working with animals (there are usually several dogs in the office every day). We’d love you to let your imagination run wild in developing fame-driving marketing activity for Lily’s Kitchen.

But as well as being hugely imaginative we need you to be a safe pair of hands who can be relied on to deliver the goods and to have a good commercial acumen that ensures we are doing good business. In addition, you will work closely with our sales team to ensure they have everything they need for customer sell-ins and activation, with our customer care team to answer consumer queries and be actively involved in our charitable work.

As a Senior Brand Manager on Dog you will manage a junior member of the team and report into the Marketing Manager.

How will I make a difference?

You will: -

  • Own, manage and develop the marketing for the Lily’s Kitchen dog portfolio
  • Develop and implement a brand communications plan and lead the creative development resulting in fresh, innovative and engaging marketing campaigns with demonstrable ROI for the selected activities in the calendar
  • Maximise communications impact liaising with your immediate team in customer activation, insight, and digital/social media
  • Build strong relationships with our sales team, to assist them in customer activations
  • Manage trade, consumer and business PR for the dog products and marketing activity
  • Become, if not already, a dedicate and passionate brand ambassador for Lily’s Kitchen
  • Build a strong relationship with the E-Commerce team to develop trial activities and drive awareness campaigns
  • Build strong relationships with NPD team in order to input into the NPD strategy for dog recipes and products to drive brand growth, taking responsibility for packaging design, marketing assets and launch plans
  • Manage the delivery of selected consumer or trade events
  • Develop and manage junior members of the Marketing team

What you need to be successful: -

  • Degree educated preferably within Marketing
  • Strong experience within premium FMCG Marketing/Brand Management
  • Ability to evaluate campaigns and demonstrate return on investment
  • Passion for brands managing the big picture as well as day to day running of the brand
  • A natural innovative and creative thinker
  • Agile and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to build relationships quickly is key within Lily’s Kitchen and our externally with our partners
  • A can do attitude and willingness to roll your sleeves up, challenge and be challenged
  • It goes without saying that you need to have a PFP (passion for pets)
  • We are passionate about making a difference and want people who think the same

  • You will be comfortable with using Microsoft Office
